From an early age, Helen Moses wasn’t confident. She was an authority-pleaser. She worried about saying the wrong thing and avoided speaking-up. It's no wonder she was drawn to a career in speech-language pathology, where she worked with stroke and brain injury survivors to regain their speech and language skills. These were people who, like her had to overcome barriers that stopped them from saying what they wanted to say. Watching their pain made her vow to never take her voice for granted again.
